Trio for Three Violins is a four-movement work based on an interplay between musical principles from Taiwan's Amis folk tunes and the Western Sonata. In this work I continue my ongoing search for the sound of my native land—Taiwan, by investigating the music of the Amis tribe, which is the largest indigenous people group in Taiwan.

The piece will be premiered by Jung Tsai, 2nd Associate Concertmaster of Kitchener Waterloo Symphony, Stephen Sitarski,

Concertmaster of Hamilton Symphony, and Lance Ouellette, Associate Concertmaster of Kitchener Waterloo Symphony and Hamilton Philharmonic.
